Daniel B. Roth, M.D.

Dr. Daniel B. Roth joined the Retina-Vitreous Center in 2000. He was the valedictorian of his undergraduate class at Yeshiva University in New York City. He then received his M.D. degree from Yale University and studied as a resident in ophthalmology at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He was honored by the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society, and received a Fight for Sight Research Fellowship, a Howard Hughes Research Fellowship, an Office of Student Research Fellowship, and an ARVO Travel Fellowship. Dr. Roth was a fellow in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the world-famous Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Roth was also elected by his peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America® from 2005 to 2008.

Dr. Roth is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American College of Eye Surgeons, the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology, and the New Jersey Retina Society. He serves on the staff of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, and Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, NJ.

Dr. Roth has researched, published extensively, and lectured at national meetings on numerous topics in ophthalmology, including age-related macular degeneration, macular hole repair, endophthalmitis, cytomegalovirus retinitis, retinoblastoma, choroidal melanoma, submacular surgery, macular translocation, retinal vascular occlusion, retinopathy of prematurity, and ocular trauma.
